I’ve been seeing this same ad on IG for weeks now. It’s for a course about - you guessed it - how to make reels that get mega views.
It’s very quick and snappy, and starts with addressing the fact that people on social media only have 5-10 second attention spans these days. That, understandably, might make you feel mad, but it’s true (so, get with the program, basically). And, this course will teach you how to thrive on socials right now, and make reels that get SEEN.
As the person in the reel is explaining this, the shots jump from her laying in bed, to her on a golf course, to her carrying a watermelon, to dumping out her handbag, to pretending to be a scientist in a lab, to… you get the point.
I’m sure the course is valuable. It has great reviews and comments from people who’ve taken it. I’m not dissing the people who’ve created it, who seem to know how to get their customers results. They are teaching a very specific thing.
But, it makes me wonder - who are we creating for?
